Sermon Preview - "Shoot Straight"

This Sunday we are diving into the meat of Paul's shortest letter in the New Testament, Philemon 8-16. We get to take a peek into how he shoots straight in the midst of conflict management between a slave and his owner. Before Sunday, think about this question: How do you react to conflict? Do you retreat, or shoot straight with those involved to seek out reconciliation?

See you then - Christ is risen!

Family Promise Update

Thank you to all that are helping with Family Promise this upcoming week! Please bring your donations by no later than Sunday, September 21 either to the church office marked Family Promise or directly to the table in the courtyard Sunday morning. We are still in need of coverage for two overnight stays - Wednesday, September 24 and Thursday, September 25. We could also still use some help with setup at 4:00pm Saturday, September 20 in the youth room and clean up at noon on Sunday, September 28. If you are interested in assisting or have any questions, please feel free to contact Betty Brennan at (480) 695-6579 or

First Things First

How do you lead others to change? Hint: first things have to be first! St. Paul is going to give us the blueprint in Philemon 1-7. Please read this entire book once again in preparation for our time together.
